What happens when you combine the #1 triathlon brand in the US with the category leader in performance sports nutrition? A team is born, of course!
I’m proud to announce Team Zoot GU 2008, a collaborative effort between two leading brands in the multisport market. The marketing crews at Zoot and GU have been hard at work on this exciting project, a co-sponsored team of 300 select age group athletes who will serve as ambassadors to our sport, our brands & their communities. We’ll select an array of athletes from across the US, and we’ll provide them a space to connect online with their teammates and share their goals, training tips, photos and race reports. Each team member will receive a discounted package of custom triathlon race apparel, sports nutrition products and accessories. In addition, we’ll host a variety of fun networking events for our team members at key events throughout the season.
To say that I’m excited about this project would be a gross understatement. It’s been a joy to work with friends from another brand with whom we feel so well aligned, and the response thus far from the tri community has been fantastic. The team application site just went live yesterday, and already the applications are pouring in!
