Nov 3, 2007 - Go Tommy!!

This morning, by the time I had crawled out of bed and brewed a thick pot of coffee, GU Sports staff member Tommy Greenless had raced his way to an impressive 2:27:44 at the Men’s Olympic Marathon Trials in NYC. The fact that his blistering 5:38 pace is faster than my legs would carry me through even a single mile simply blows my mind. I know the competition at the trials was insanely tough, and Tommy’s real goal was to get there, as opposed to Beijing. So congratulations on achieving your dream, Tommy, and maybe you can teach me a thing or two about speed work when you get home!

For any of you who are attending The Running Event in Austin, TX next week, Tommy will be on hand to spread the GU love and share his experience as a competitive runner and Olympic hopeful.
