The Durapulse Havasu Junior Triathlon Camp will be held in conjunction with the Havasu Triathlon. The Durapulse Havasu Junior Triathlon Camp will be held the day before the triathlon on March 23.  The Havasu Triathlon is on Saturday, March 24.

The Durapulse Havasu Junior Triathlon Camp is a one day camp to develop triathlon skills for junior triathletes who have a desire to someday compete an elite level in ITU style races.  Junior triathletes of all experience and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Camp highlights include: hands on coaching in transition, swim, bike and run; small groups with individual instruction; elite coaching staff including Nick Goodman from Durapulse Performance, Timothy Bolen and members of the Landis Elite Triathlon Team; lunch and t-shirt included with application fee;  seminars for parents about junior triathlon racing and ITU style racing; special hotel rates for camp participants; and a mini triathlon at the end of camp.

Unique to this camp will be seminars offered to triathlon parents about elite junior racing. Topics will include USAT, ITU, rules, regulations and strategy.

The camp will be held in Lake Havasu City, one of the premier spring break destinations on the west coast. Only hours from Phoenix, Los Angeles and Las Vegas and located along the shores of Lake Havasu, this desert community features sun, temperatures in the 80s and a fabulous lake while the rest of the country is still frozen.  Since 1999, Lake Havasu City has been home the Havsasu Triathlon, site of the Collegiate National Championships in 2004 and 2005.

Hosting the Durapulse Havasu Junior Triathlon Camp will be the Tucson Racing Junior Team. Created in memory of Dick Tomlin, one of the world’s greatest triathletes who was tragically killed while out training on his bicycle on June 4, 2005, the Tucson Racing Junior Team is composed of the best young triathletes in Arizona. All members of the Tucson Racing Junior Team will be in attendance.
