Press Release: SolRx Inc, manufacturers of performance sun care products, is proud to announce the newly formed “Team SolRx”, a team of world-class athletes who will compete in various multi-sport events during the upcoming 2007 season.
Team SolRx currently features “the ULTRAGirls” – three highly accomplished and enthusiastic women triathletes who will represent the XTERRA 44 ULTRA sunscreen and Lip Ice manufactured by SolRx. ULTRAGirls will compete at various XTERRA, Iron Man and select ultra- endurance races throughout the upcoming season. Additionally, Professional Triathlete- Timothy Marr, is a Team SolRX member. A half-Iron Man distance specialist, Timothy will race a myriad of Iron Man events this season.
Team SolRx athletes serve as positive role models to young people everywhere by advocating a wholesome life style through sports, proper nutrition and education. In addition to competing, the team will share their “mantra” and love of sport through appearances at various school assemblies, youth groups and sporting expos. At such events, they will discuss the value of staying fit, their own positive experiences through sports and provide education on living safe with the sun and skin cancer prevention. Their team motto of “Inspiration Inside” will be featured on race apparel and advertising materials.
- Timothy Marr: 2006 Pan American ITU Long Distance Champion, 10th Overall, 2006 IronMan 70.3 World Championships. Professional Triathlete and Coach
-Amy Bennett: 2006 XTERRA Eastern United States age group Champion, 2nd place XTERRA 2006 World Championship and Iron Man 70.3 World Champion competitor. Computer Network Engineer and former US Marine Corps Commissioned Officer.
-Kim Hill: 2006 XTERRA age group world champion and multiple Iron Man Finisher. Automation Systems Specialist and sports and fitness model.
- Marion Sumner 2005 XTERRA Female (overall) Amateur World Champion and highly decorated Iron Man athlete. Graduate School student.
