Wisconsin to host Youth-athlon this June

May 16, 2007 -- Press Release: In one of the most unique event formats in the country for youth multi-sports, the South Shore Youth-Athlon is set for June 10, 2007 in Cudahy, Wisconsin.

This event has been designed for students of all skill levels ranging from 14 – 18 years of age. The distances for the event are 300 yard pool swim, 9 mile bike, (2.3 mile loop course, spectator friendly) and a 2.2 mile run, with majestic views of Lake Michigan

According to Hubie Krawczyk, Race Director, “This area along Lake Michigan is the perfect venue for the participants and spectators, the course is unique in that parents, family and friends have a great opportunity to see and cheer on their athlete a number of times, creating a great event atmosphere.”

Proceeds from the event will be donated to ”The MACC FUND” (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) The mission of this event is to promote health and fitness to our youth through the sport of triathlon while contributing to a charitable organization to benefit young children with cancer. 
 
The South Shore Youth-Athlon will start and finish at Cudahy High School located at 4950 South Lake Drive, Cudahy, WI 53110.
